About Mataki How it works Security and privacy
This is a training and decision-support tool, not a health record system. It runs in your browser. Your assessments are stored only on this device (browser localStorage) and are not uploaded. Two things are kept on this site's server: your account and sign-ins, and, if you use the optional tracking link, what each place sees and the updates people send with a tracking code, encrypted with keys the server never receives.
Your assessments are encrypted with your password. If you choose a four-digit PIN, it unlocks them on this device while you stay signed in. If you forget the password, they cannot be recovered, and anyone who knows your password can open your data.
Signing in is checked by this site's server, which keeps your account details, a hash of your password and your sign-ins. A sign-in lasts at most 90 days. An account can be signed in on up to three devices, and any sign-in can be ended at once from Account settings, by changing the password, or by an administrator.
Enter aggregate numbers and themes only. Do not enter patient names, health-worker names, or any individual identifiers in the notes or Learning Log. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (2023) you and your institution are the data controllers for anything you input, and remain responsible for lawful basis, minimization, and data-subject rights. This tool does not, by itself, establish any of those.
